		<description>You are dead on in acknowledging that sales forecasts can be adjusted objectively.  In fact, making a sales forecast trustworthy (even to a CFO!) is possible with some process and a little help from technology.  We just launched an application called Trust Analytics (www.right90.com/trust) that helps companies to establish Trust in their forecast by measuring the ABCs (Accuracy, Bias, Completeness, and Consistency) of forecasting and giving sales people feedback, just as you describe</description>

		<description>Yes, good forecasting requires rigour! And we&#039;ve only talked about sales so far ... the top line is the easy bit. It gets a whole lot more interesting trying to forecast profit and related items (e.g. tax).</description>
