The entrepreneur behind one of the UK’s most recognised B2B businesses, Edward Stobart died this morning aged 56. Edward was the son of Eddie Stobart the founder of Eddie Stobart and took over the business 30 years ago. He was responsible for creating what is arguably the best known B2B brands in Britain.
It is virtually impossible to travel on a motorway in the UK without seeing one of the immaculately turned out trucks and drivers. The Eddie Stobart Fan Club has over 25,000 members. The company has featured in its own reality television show.
Eddie was a true visionary who built a great and innovative brand in a sector that didn’t appear at first glance to be about much more than taking things from A-B. Sad to see his passing.
